Golf FAQs
Are guests allowed to play?
Guests are permitted to play with members. Members are not limited to the number of guests they may bring annually though the Club may limit the number of times a particular guest golfs at the Club per year.
On what days does Stoneleigh G&CC host outings?
Primarily on Mondays. However, because our golf course is so uncrowded, we can sometimes accommodate an outing on Tuesdays, Wednesdays or Thursdays. Please contact our Head Golf Professional at

What is the dress code for playing golf?

What is the tee time reservation policy?
Members may reserve starting times up to seven days in advance by calling the Golf Shop at 540.338.4653 ext. 1 unless otherwise noted for a particular membership category.
Is the course amenable to walking?
Walking is welcomed at any time unless otherwise specified, and pull carts are permitted. Almost half of the Club’s annual rounds are played by walkers.
Does Stoneleigh offer golf tournaments for members?
There are active tournament schedules for men, women and mixed groups throughout the golf season. More information on the

can be found on the members’ website or by calling the Golf Shop at 540.338.4653 ext. 1.
When may couples play together?
Couples may play together anytime.
Are there any groups that I can join for a regular game on Saturday morning?
We have many informal groups that play from different tees at different times that welcome new players. Members commonly change groups depending on their schedules. Our professional staff would be delighted to make introductions for you.
What golf instruction programs are offered for members?
We offer private and group programs to all levels of golfers, men, women, and juniors. These programs cover all aspects of golf – some examples include the short game, putting and full-swing. Members can take part in private lessons, on-course instruction and clinics.

Are there programs for older children to learn the game?
There are several types of junior golf clinics and golf camps available during the summer. We have held weekly junior golf clinics during the summer months. Inquiries and reservations can be made via the Golf Shop by calling

When may children (under 18 years old) play golf?
Stoneleigh is a family-friendly golf course and juniors are welcome to play at any time.
Does Stoneleigh support any high school golf teams?
Stoneleigh supports the
Woodgrove High School
golf team. As their home course, matches are typically held Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays and begin around 3:45 pm. High school golf matches are placed on the calendar on the website.
Does the Club offer rental clubs?
We have clubs available for daily rental. These include both left and right-handed clubs for men, women, and juniors.
What is the Club’s tipping policy for golf staff?
Gratuities are at the discretion of the member or guest.
Does the Club offer bag storage for members?
Bag storage is offered for a $125 annual fee.
Can a guest purchase items in the pro shop without charges being billed to the hosting member?
Guests are welcome to purchase items in the Golf Shop with the following credit cards: American Express, Visa or MasterCard. Cash is not accepted.
May I make a special order in the pro shop?
The professional golf staff at Stoneleigh is happy to work with you on any special order.
What methods of payment are accepted for guest fees, club rental, etc?
The Golf Shop bills charges to member accounts but also accepts MasterCard, Visa and American Express. Outings may be paid for with checks or credit cards. Cash is not allowed.
