Wedding FAQS


May we have our wedding ceremony at Stoneleigh?
Yes, we are delighted to host your wedding ceremony for a nominal fee. The Stonewall Courtyard is available April-October for wedding ceremonies and receptions. Click here to learn more about what is included in each of our different wedding packages.

What is included in the facility rental fee?
  • A minimum four-hour reception in the stonewall courtyard
  • A tent that can accommodate up to 250 people
  • White floor-length table linens
  • Hurricane glass and pillar candle centerpieces
  • Votive candles and table numbers
  • Freshly baked rolls and sweet butter
  • Coffee station
  • Iced tea and water service with dinner 
  • Cake cutting
  • Stemware, china and flatware
  • Tables and chairs
  • Per 75 guests, one bar and bartender
  • Customized menus upon request
  • Trained, qualified service staff
  • Complimentary one-hour meeting with Stoneleigh’s in-house Event Consultant
  • On-site liaison the day of your reception

What is the cancellation policy?
Cancellation will result in loss of deposit. We encourage a high degree of communication and encourage as much notice as is possible.  When the Club commits to a date for a wedding, other business is frequently turned away for that date.

May I hire an outside catering service?
All food and beverage at Stoneleigh must be provided by our skilled and creative catering team.  Please note that our liquor license requires that we provide all alcoholic beverages.

Is a tasting available?
Yes, we would love to have you sample our menu through a complimentary tasting for up to four people after your contract and prior to your wedding.   There is an nominal charge for additional guests. What is the tent rental policy?
A tent that can accommodate up to 250 people is included in the nominal facility fee.  The set-up and dismantling of the tent is also included in the facility fee.

Where are photographers allowed to take photos?
The views at Stoneleigh G&CC are unparalleled and we have a number of excellent locations for beautiful and memorable photographs.  One of the most popular places to take pictures at Stoneleigh is with the historic stonewalls in the background.  If photos require the golf course to be closed or if you require the use of a golf cart, additional fees apply.

Do you have food options for children?
The Club is family-friendly and we would be happy to customize a special menu for children. Stoneleigh’s most popular children’s option is chicken fingers with fries.

How many hours is the reception?
A reception lasts for four hours with the selection of the Romance Package.  Upgraded wedding packages offer additional ceremony time.  Click here to learn more about Stoneleigh’s wedding packages.

May I take my Engagement Photos here?
Yes, we are happy to have you take advantage of our beautiful views for your engagement photos.  Appointments are required.

Does Stoneleigh offer event consultations?
Yes, in addition to our Food and Beverage Director, we have an Event Consultant who provides an initial one-hour consultation free of charge and preferred rates thereafter. Can I use my own wedding planner?
Yes, you are welcome to use your own wedding planner.

Am I required to use the in-house wedding consultant?
No, you are not required to use the in-house wedding consultant.

May I hire a DJ or live band?
Both DJs and live bands are welcome at Stoneleigh.

Are we required to use Stoneleigh’s preferred vendors?
No, however we are happy to suggest vendors.

Are we able to host wines other than your standard house wine?
Yes, we have a full wine list available and can order specialties outside of the list as well.

If we want a sweetheart table instead of a head table, is that possible?
Yes, it is possible to use a sweetheart table instead of a head table.  

Do you offer buffets or plated dinners?
You have the choice of having a buffet or a plated dinner (limited). Stoneleigh also offers a variety of special food station options as well.

Will hors d’oeuvres be stationary or passed?
The Club can accommodate either or both.

What limitations are there are on decorations?
Stoneleigh aims to encourage creativity.  You are welcome to bring in your own decorations for the tables, dance floor, etc. The Club does not allow is taping, stapling, gluing, tacking etc. to the tent or stone walls.

Do you charge to cut the cake?
Cake cutting assistance is complimentary in all of our wedding packages.  After bride and groom cut the cake, our staff will take the remaining cake into the kitchen, cut it and serve it to your guests.

May we throw flower petals or use bubbles on the runway at the ceremony?
Yes, you are more than welcome to use flower petals and bubbles during your wedding ceremony.

May we include our dog in our wedding ceremony?
Dogs are allowed to be involved in ceremonies subject to the following rules:

  1. Animals must be attended and controlled at all times.
  2. Animals may not enter any buildings.
  3. Animals must be removed from property immediately following ceremony.
  4. Venue is not responsible for cleaning up after animals. This is the responsibility of event client.
  5. Event client is responsible for any damages created by animal.
